HGO is proud to present a series of free summer programs designed to engage and inspire young audiences. The company’s teaching artists will travel to community spaces throughout Houston, offering music, interactive storytelling, and enriching activities that introduce children to the magic of opera and the performing arts.
Bellaire City Library offers comprehensive library services to Bellaire residents, providing materials, programs, and reference services across the area. Houston Grand Opera and Bellaire City Library are thrilled to share a program for all ages.
The Woodlands Children’s Museum creates opportunities that educate, empower, and excite children and families through play while inspiring a lifelong sense of wonder and discovery. HGO is excited to partner with the museum this summer on two fun and interactive programs: Meet and Opera Singer! and Storybook Opera: World Cup Women.
HGO gratefully acknowledges the supporters who have helped bring this programming to Houston: The Brown Foundation, Inc., The Cockrell Family Fund, ConocoPhillips, The Elkins Foundation, H-E-B, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Joan and Stanford Alexander Family Fund, Powell Foundation, Shell USA, Vitol, Vivian L. Smith Foundation, and The Wortham Foundation, Inc.
By bringing this free programming to students in libraries, parks, and other spaces across the city, our HGO team is introducing young people to the magic of storytelling through music.
