During the 2026-27 season at HGO, Sylvia D’Eramo makes her role debut in the title role of Susannah. She made her company debut last season as Anna Sørensen in Kevin Puts and Mark Campbell's Silent Night. Elsewhere during the 2026-27 season, with Theater St Gallen, D’Eramo reprises Susannah and debuts as Antonia in Offenbach’s Les contes d’Hoffmann and Desdemona in Verdi’s Otello, all of which are new productions. In her company debut with Seattle Opera, she reprises one of her signature roles, Mimì in Puccini’s La bohème, in James Robinson’s production with Roberto Kalb on the podium. On the concert stage, D’Eramo appears as soprano soloist in Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with the Sinfonieorchester St. Gallen under Cornelius Meister and gives a recital in Crans-Montana, Switzerland. Among D’Eramo’s most recent operatic highlights are her acclaimed house and role debut as Marta in Weinberg’s Die Passagierin at Dutch National Opera, and role debuts as Chrysothemis in Elektra at Theater St. Gallen and Gutrune in Wagner’s Götterdämmerung with the Atlanta Opera. D’Eramo returned to the role of Gerda Wegener—which she created in the world premiere of Tobias Picker’s Lili Elbe at Theater St. Gallen—for the work’s American premiere at Santa Fe Opera. Her Mimì in La bohème has been heard at Dallas Opera under Emmanuel Villaume, at Santa Fe Opera in James Robinson’s production with Iván López-Reynoso, at the Verbier Festival under James Gaffigan, and most recently at Theater St. Gallen. Also at St. Gallen, she has appeared as Elvira in Verdi’s Ernani under Modestas Pitrenas and as Maddalena in Andrea Chénier. Further highlights include Kitty/Vanessa in the world premiere of Kevin Puts’s The Hours and Musetta in La bohème at the Metropolitan Opera, Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni at North Carolina Opera, and Micaëla in Carmen at Santa Fe Opera and with Jacksonville Symphony.
