During HGO's 2026-27 season, Soraya Mafi makes her company debut performing as Sophie in Der Rosenkavalier. ‍Elsewhere during the season, Mafi makes role and house debut as Adina in Elixir of Love with The Dallas Opera and a house debut as Sophie at Semperoper Dresden. In the 2025-26 season, Mafi performed as Cunegonde in Candide with Welsh National Opera, Nitocris in Handel’s Belshazzar with Komische Oper Berlin in a new production, and Sophie with Garsington Opera.‍ Future seasons include her role debut as Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor, her house debut with Royal Ballet and Opera, Covent Garden and performances at The Wigmore Hall, The Glasshouse International Centre for Music, and The London International Handel Festival. Her awards and prizes include the Maggie Teyte Prize in 2014 and the Susan Chilcott Award in 2016. She was also the 2nd Prize winner in the 2015 Kathleen Ferrier Awards and is an Associate of the Royal Northern College of Music, an honor conferred upon recent alumni making an outstanding contribution in the early stages of their career.
