Biography

Marcus Lonardo is an aspiring opera singer and teaching artist with Houston Grand Opera. He began his journey as Figaro in HGO Community and Learning’s touring production of The Barber of Seville in Texas. At the same time, Marcus was introduced into the world of teaching artistry by bringing Storybook Opera and Sing! Move! Play! performances into classrooms, community centers, and libraries. Most recently he joined the HGO Chorus in the first show of their 2022-23 season, La traviata, and was happy to be engaged in the annual performances of Carols on the Green and Giving Voice. He has found tremendous joy both on and off the stage and looks forward to bringing more musical fun into classrooms and performance halls alike.
