During HGOs 2026-27 season, Lucas Meachem performs as Amonasro in Aida. Previously for the company, Meachem performed the roles of Count di Luna in Il trovatore (2024) and Figaro in The Barber of Seville (2018). Other engagements in 2026-27 include Lescaut in Manon Lescaut at Teatro Real de Madrid, Marcello in La bohème at the Metropolitan Opera, Francesco Foscari in I due Foscari at Opera di Roma, Count Almaviva in The Marriage of Figaro at LA Opera, and Sharpless in Madame Butterfly at London’s Royal Ballet and Opera. During the 2025-26 season, Meachem performed as Zurga in The Pearl Fishers at Teatro del Maggio Musicale Florentino, Escamillo in Carmen at Teatro Real de Madrid, the title role of Don Giovanni with Semperoper Dresden, Baron Scarpia in Tosca at Teatro Carlo Felice, Giorgio Germont in La traviata at the Metropolitan Opera and Opera de Bordeaux, and Ford in Falstaff at Barcelona Gran Teatre del Liceu. Other highlights include the title role in The Barber of Seville at San Francisco Opera, Vienna State Opera, London’s Royal Ballet and Opera, and LA Opera, where he gave his GRAMMY Award-winning performance as Figaro in The Ghosts of Versailles. He has performed with Teatro alla Scala, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Salzburg Festival, Glyndebourne Festival, Opéra national de Paris, Bavarian State Opera, and Bilbao Opera. Meachem released his solo album Shall We Gather in 2021.
