Errin Hatter is a freelance soprano in the Greater Houston Area, TX. She graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a Master of Liberal Arts with a concentration in vocal performance. She is a teaching artist at Houston Grand Opera Community and Learning, a voice teacher at Brazos Port College in Lake Jackson, TX, and an assistant choir director at Nelda Sullivan Middle School in Pasadena ISD. She frequently performs as a chorister with the Piping Rock Singers and Opera in the Heights. She is an alumni member of the Exigence Vocal Ensemble of the Sphinx Organization and the formerly named Franco-American Vocal Academy (now the William Lewis School of Opera) in Salzburg, Austria. She is also a member of the praise band and is the liturgical hymn leader at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Meyerland in Houston. Errin is the founder and executive director of I Colori dell'opera, a company created to promote representation of people of color in the opera and classical communities. Through I Colori dell’opera, Errin Hatter has created numerous opportunities for young artists to access music by African American and Latinx composers through performance and education.
