Biography

Mezzo-Soprano Danielle Romano is a versatile vocalist whose career spans opera, vocal chamber music, and musical theater. She recently completed a vocal fellowship at Tanglewood Music Center, where she performed a variety of chamber music, portrayed roles in Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortilèges, and sang alongside the Boston Symphony.  Danielle currently serves as a teaching artist with Houston Grand Opera, and toured Opera to Go’s production during the 2024-2025 season. Danielle completed her graduate studies at the A.J. Fletcher Opera Institute, where she was featured in numerous productions, including Lo frate 'nnamoratoMaria di RohanThe RivalsOrlando PaladinoLinda di Chamounix, and Volpone. In 2022, she made her debut with Piedmont Opera as Annina in Verdi’s La Traviata. Her concert work includes soloist performances in Handel’s Messiah with the Greensboro Choral Society, and as Hamor in Handel’s Jephtha with the UNCSA Symphony Orchestra. A graduate of The Eastman School of Music, Danielle holds a bachelor’s degree in vocal performance, where she studied with renowned tenor Anthony Dean Griffey.
