Angie Tovar is a recent graduate of the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston,
where she earned a bachelor’s degree in vocal performance under the mentorship of Cynthia
Clayton. During her time at Moores, she performed leading roles such as Nightingale in L'Enfant
et les Sortilèges, Emmie in Albert Herring, Chiffon in Little Shop of Horrors, and a featured role
in the musical revue Sondheim on Sondheim. In 2023, Angie was honored with the Gilbert and
Sullivan Society's undergraduate scholarship.
She currently teaches voice and piano lessons at Vivaldi Music Academy and as a Teaching
Artist with the Houston Grand Opera. Angie is dedicated to pursuing a career as a professional
opera singer and voice teacher.
