During the 2026-27 season, Aigul Khismatullina makes her company debut as the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute. Elsewhere during the 2026-27 season, she debuts in the title role of Lakmé at Seattle Opera and as the Queen of the Night at the Beijing Music Festival. In future seasons, she will make appearances with the Lyric Opera of Chicago and Dutch National Opera. In the 2025-26 season, Khismatullina returned to the Metropolitan Opera, debuted with LA Opera as Queen of the Night, and performed the roles of Leila in The Pearl Fishers and Gilda in Rigoletto with Palm Beach Opera. Other engagements included performances on her home stage of Mariinsky Theatre, Saint Petersburg as Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos, the title role in Lucia di Lammermoor, and Olympia in The Tales of Hoffmann, among others. In recent seasons, Khismatullina made her debut at the Dutch National Opera as Gilda in Rigoletto, returned to Deutsche Oper Berlin as both Gilda in Rigoletto and Lucia as Lucia di Lammermoor, and debuted at the Metropolitan Opera, Bavarian State Opera, Semperoper Dresden, and Opera Hong Kong, all as the Queen of the Night. Other recent appearances include the Queen of the Night at London’s Royal Ballet and Opera, Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, and Opera Santiago de Chile; Queen of the Night, Gilda, and Lucia with Deutsche Oper Berlin; Gilda at Gran Teatre del Liceu and Opera Santiago de Chile; and the title role in Lakmé in a concert version with the Berlin Philharmonic and Deutsche Oper Berlin.
