Biography

Aarianna B. Longino, lyric soprano and native of Houston, Texas. Aarianna received her bachelor’s degree from Prairie View A&M University, master’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin Butler School of Music where she also began work on her Artist Diploma. Recent performances include: Suor Angelica in Suor Angelica, Erste Dame in Die Zauberflöte, Female Chorus in The Rape of Lucretia, Mother in The Women, Larina in Eugene Onegin, and Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte where she was recognized by the Austin Chronicle for “..conveying the anguish and steadfastness in the arias.” She joined the Houston Grand Opera Chorus in 2019, in Aida and most recently in the world premiere of Marian’s Song. Aarianna was scheduled to make her debut with the Houston Symphony, but was cancelled due to COVID-19. In December, Aarianna will make her professional debut as the role of Mama/Ensemble in Houston Grand Opera’s Snowy Day.
