Each year, after an exhaustive international search, a select group of young singers arrive in Houston with the hope of joining the HGO Studio. The final stage of this competition is presented live, for you, in an evening of soul-stirring music that will leave you breathless. Following announcement of the winners, the young artists join you for a celebration dinner. These are tomorrow’s brightest young stars. Your support is a chapter in their story. Full of suspense, high stakes, immense promise, audience participation and fun—this is the Concert of Arias.

HGO STUDIO

The HGO Studio is one of the most respected young artist programs in the world. For more than thirty years, the HGO Studio has provided young singers and pianists a bridge between full-time training and full-fledged operatic careers. During a residency of up to three years, each artist trains and hones their craft on the HGO mainstage and at other venues around our great city. Alumni of the HGO Studio go on to perform at the most esteemed opera houses in the world—and many of these world-renowned artists regularly return to the HGO stage and back to the audiences who helped launch their careers!
