Neveah, a current Howard University student, travels to Philadelphia to visit Union Street Church and pay homage to her role model, opera contralto Marian Anderson. Along the way, Marian’s life and legacy inspire Neveah to persevere. An innovative fusion of opera, spoken word, and multi-media projections, Marian’s Song combines powerful historical and current-day narrative with a wide variety of musical styles that will appeal to all ages.
