Sarah and Ernest Butler Performance Series
Houston Grand Opera’s all-new 2020–21 HGO Digital season, presented in place of its canceled mainstage season, will serve great operatic works to audiences in Houston and beyond. Viewers can expect a mix of modern and classic operatic works, intimate Live from The Cullen recitals, and other creative projects. The HGO Digital season will also feature beloved company traditions, now re-envisioned for the digital space, from our talented HGO Studio artists. The entire season will be free, and presented in partnership with global streaming platform Marquee TV.
To support the series, Sarah and Ernest Butler, long-time HGO supporters, have made an extraordinarily generous gift to help underwrite HGO Digital programming. The pledge will support both Houston Grand Opera and Austin Opera, creating a strategic partnership between the two Texas companies.
Viewers around the world will be able to transport themselves to a front row seat and stream exclusive Houston Grand Opera Digital content worldwide through Marquee TV, an on-demand streaming platform dedicated to global arts and culture.
