About the artist:
Sarah Tucker, making her HGO debut, has been praised for her captivating vocal timbre and engaging stage presence. The 2022-23 season brings her to Fargo-Moorhead Operas as Mimì in La bohème, the Vallejo Center for the Arts as Tatyana in selections from Eugene Onegin, and Dayton Philharmonic to premiere My Sister’s Voice by composer Reena Esmael. During the 2021-22 season, Tucker made her role debut as Freia in Das Rheingold with Virginia Opera, brought her Adina in L’elisir d’amore to Dayton Opera, made her role debut as Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte with San Diego Opera, and joined North Carolina Opera as Pamina in The Magic Flute. Other notable appearances include Jano in Jenüfa with the San Francisco Opera, the role of First Memory in Lembit Beecher’s War Stories: I Have No Stories to Tell You at Philadelphia Opera, and Micaëla in Carmen at Utah Opera. Tucker was a National Semifinalist in the 2014 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions and is a recent graduate of the Arizona Opera Studio.
