About the artist:

Born in Houston and raised in Albuquerque, Norman Mathews loved to sing from an early age and began to cultivate his craft during high school as a member of the Santa Fe Opera Young Voices Program. He returned to Houston in 2014 and joined the HGO Chorus in 2018. He went on to perform in several operas with the company, including a The Flying Dutchman, Aida, The Pearl Fishers, Carmen, Turandot, Romeo and Juliet, and this season's new production of Dame Ethel Smyth’s The Wreckers.
