About the artist:
Acclaimed by the Twin Cities Pioneer Press for his " brilliantly clear, emotion-laden tenor voice,” Scott Quinn is an alumnus of the HGO Studio. He has performed with HGO many times, including as the Duke of Mantua in Rigoletto, Villers, Duke of Buckingham in world premiere work Prince of Players, and Adolfo in Sweeney Todd. In the 2021-22 season Quinn also joins Pittsburgh Opera as Don José in Carmen, Florentine Opera for Duca in Rigoletto, and North Carolina Opera for Rodolfo in La bohème. Last season, Quinn joined San Antonio Opera for Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor. His recent credits include Elemer in Arabella and Števa in Jenůfa (San Francisco Opera); Duca in Rigoletto (San Diego Opera, Lyric Opera of Kansas City, Atlanta Opera); Cavaradossi in Tosca (North Carolina Opera); Don José in Carmen and Boris in Káťa Kabanová (Seattle Opera); Rodolfo in La bohème (Utah Opera, Minnesota Opera); Alfredo in La traviata (Austin Opera); Camille in The Merry Widow and Oscar in the American premiere of Gareth William’s Rocking Horse Winner (Opera Saratoga); Fritz in L’amico Fritz (Den Jyske Opera); Don José in Carmen (Arizona Opera); Narraboth in Salome (Dallas Opera); and Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly (Palm Beach Opera).
