Previously with HGO, Caitlin Lynch sang the role of Hero in Beatrice and Benedict (2008) and performed as a soloist in Chorus! (2009). She was the first-place winner in HGO’s 2008 Eleanor McCollum Competition Concert of Arias. She began her 2021-22 season with her company debut at Austin Opera, singing one of the roles she is best known for, Contessa Almaviva in The Marriage of Figaro. Other engagements this season include Violetta in La traviata with the South Bend Symphony, joining the Metropolitan Opera to cover Contessa in its production of The Marriage of Figaro, singing a concert of Bolcolm and Brahms with the Chamber Music Society of Detroit, and appearing with the Kansas City Symphony for performances of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. Lynch has performed her signature role of Countess Almaviva in celebrated performances with Glimmerglass Opera, Seattle Opera, San Diego Opera, Lyric Opera Baltimore, Michigan Opera, and Opera Lyra Ottawa. Other Mozart roles include Donna Anna (Pittsburgh Opera, Michigan Opera Theatre) and Donna Elvira (Madison Opera, Opera Carolina) in Don Giovanni, Konstanze in Die Entführung aus dem Serail (Arizona Opera), and Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte (Opera Carolina, Arizona Opera, Palm Beach Opera).

Soula Parassidis is making her American debut with this performance with HGO. She first appeared on the international operatic scene in 2009 as Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte with the Ensemble Philidor in France. Later that year she performed Diane in Orphée aux enfers at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence and the Salzburg Camerata, which was broadcast on ARTE on French and German television. As a member of the ensemble at Oper Leipzig, Parassidis performed a wide variety of leading roles in several productions. Parassidis’s Asian debut was with the Taipei Symphony Orchestra as Vitellia in La clemenza di Tito. She has been the recipient of generous support from the Canada Council for the Arts, as well as a multiple prize winner in the Metropolitan Opera National Council auditions. Recent engagements brought her to the Theater an der Wien (Fedra in Teseo), the Opéra National de Bordeaux (Helmwige and Cover Sieglinde in Die Walküre), the Teatro Regio di Torino (Bice in Violanta), and the Teatro Massimo di Palermo (Elettra in Idomeneo). Her wide repertoire includes such roles as Kaiserin in Die Frau ohne Schatten, Chrysothemis in Elektra, and Elsa in Lohengrin.
