During HGO’s 2026-27 season, Thomas Capobianco makes his company debut as Monostatos in The Magic Flute. Elsewhere in the 2026-27 season, Capobianco performs as Monostatos in The Magic Flute, Innkeeper in Der Rosenkavalier, and a Knight in Parsifal at the Metropolitan Opera. During the 2025-26 season, he performed as Monostatos in The Magic Flute and the Emperor Altoum in Turandot at the Metropolitan Opera. He also performed as Clarence Elkins in Davenport Richards’s Blind Injustice with MasterVoices. Capobianco is quickly growing a reputation as a singer who offers tremendous artistry in difficult repertoire. He made his debut with the Metropolitan Opera in 2022 singing the roles of the Officer in Ariadne auf Naxos and the Young Servant in Elektra. Capobianco has been a full-time plan artist with the Metropolitan Opera since the 2023-24 season.
