Olivia Knight serves as fight/intimacy director for each production in HGO’s 2026-27 season. In 2025-26 for the company, Knight served as fight/intimacy director for the Butler Studio Showcase and Porgy and Bess, fight director for Hansel and Gretel, and intimacy director for Silent Night; and during the 2024-25 season, she served as intimacy director for Il trovatore and La bohème. Knight has also served as fight/intimacy director for the Rice University Shepherd School of Music, with credits including Alcina, The Magic Flute, The Ghost of Versailles, and Falstaff. She serves as a movement instructor for HGO’s Butler Studio, leading movement, fight, and intimacy workshops, and teaches at Houston educational institutions at both the college and high school levels. Knight was awarded the VCUarts Research Grant in 2021 for her work on The Penelopiad. She was named to the Houston Press Ones to Watch list (2025-26) and awarded Best Breakthrough (2025) for her performance as Una in Blackbird with Dirt Dogs Theatre Co. Previous theatrical credits include Hedda Tesman in Hedda Gabler (Shafer Alliance Lab., 2020); Ash in Wolf Play with Rec Room Arts (2023); Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream (Houston Shakespeare Festival, 2024); Ursula in Much Ado About Nothing and First Witch/Lady Macduff in Macbeth (Houston Shakespeare Festival, 2023); Emilia in Othello (Classical Theatre Company, 2026); and Vanda in Venus in Fur (Dirt Dogs Theatre Co., 2026).
