During HGO’s 2026-27 season, Bille Bruley makes his company debut as Sam Polk in Susannah. Elsewhere this season, he performs as Steve Wozniak in The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs with Utah Opera and as the tenor soloist in Messiah with Santa Fe Symphony. Highlights of Bruley’s 2025-26 season included debuts as the First Jew in Salome with Orquesta Sinfónia de Minería, Salome with Lyric Opera of Chicago, and A Streetcar Named Desire with Opera Theatre of St. Louis. The 2024-25 season saw Bruley’s Metropolitan Opera debut for Claus Guth’s new production of Salome and his Carnegie Hall debut as tenor soloist in Handel’s Messiah. Bruley is an alumnus of young artist programs at The Santa Fe Opera, The Glimmerglass Festival, and Central City Opera. He has received awards including the Richard Tucker Memorial Award from the Santa Fe Opera and the Iris Henwood Richards Memorial Award from the Central City Opera House Association. He received his undergraduate training at Baylor University, completed his graduate work at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music, and earned his Doctorate of Musical Arts at Arizona State University. He serves on the voice faculty at the young artist summer training program Opera in the Ozarks, and as Assistant Professor of Vocal Arts at the University of California's Thornton School of Music.
