About the Artist:
Christopher Childress, a member of the HGO Chorus for seven seasons, is making his company debut in a named role. Highlights of his work at HGO include Lohengrin (2009), Rigoletto (2013), and Jake Heggie’s Dead Man Walking (2010), which was commercially recorded. He also appeared as a member of the chorus in Lully’s Armide with Houston’s Mercury orchestra. A graduate of the University of Houston Moores School of Music, Childress performed the roles of Snout in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Dr. Blind in Die Fledermaus, and the Driver in Robert Nelson’s A Room with a View, which was also commercially recorded.
