About the Artist:
Gregory Gale is making his HGO debut. On Broadway, he designed costumes for Cyrano de Bergerac with Kevin Kline and Jennifer Garner (nominations for Tony and Henry Hewes Design awards), also seen on PBS’s Great Performances; Arcadia; Rock ofAges (Tony and Henry Hewes nominations); The Wedding Singer (Drama Desk nomination); Urinetown; and Band in Berlin. Off-Broadway, his work includes The Voysey Inheritance (Lucille Lortel Award, Henry Hewes nomination); The Milliner (Lucille Lortel nomination); Rock ofAges (New World Stages); Urinetown (Lucille Lortel nomination); The Third Story (Henry Hewes nomination); The Tribute Artist; Bunnicula; Now. Here. This.; Pig Farm; and The Dazzle. His work in opera includes La rondine for Opera Theatre of Saint Louis and The Magic Flute for Chicago Opera Theater, and he also designed Camelot for Virginia Opera and Bitter Sweet for Bard SummerScape. He has also designed for companies in Singapore, London’s West End, Toronto, Australia, and Norwegian Cruise Line.
