Coach for La bohème, Florencia en el Amazonas, and the world premiere of The Phoenix. Second-year HGO Studio artist. Previously: Coach for 2017–18 productions of La traviata, The Barber of Seville (also fortepiano continuo), and West Side Story.
About the Artist:
Blair Salter has participated in San Francisco Opera’s Merola Program and the Glimmerglass Festival and has served as a guest coach for Michigan Opera Theatre in Detroit. Recent operatic engagements include A Midsummer Night’s Dream, L’heure espagnole, and Gianni Schicchi with University of Michigan Opera. She was previously a fellow at the Fall Island Vocal Arts Seminar and a vocal coach with the CoOPERAtive Program. She completed her doctoral degree at the University of Michigan under the tutelage of Martin Katz. During the summer of 2018, she joins Wolf Trap Opera as a coaching fellow. Besides her 2018–19 coaching assignments at HGO, she will perform in HGO Studio recitals, Studio Showcase, and other events.
