El Sueño del Armadillo
Traducido por Alejandro Magallón
Based on a Bolivian folktale and written by HGO’s own Dennis Arrowsmith, this inspiring and timely tale stars an armadillo named Sandy who lives on the Houston bayou and dreams of singing. Though discouraged by the creatures he meets, Sandy is magically transformed during a storm and his shell becomes a part of a production at Houston Grand Opera. The Armadillo's Dream is available in our Storybook Opera program.
The Armadillo’s Dream is generously underwritten by Connie Kwan-Wong Foundation and CKW LUXE. All proceeds go to HGOco–Houston Grand Opera’s unique initiative that explores making opera relevant to its changing audience by connecting the company with our community through collaboration.
