Internship Program

Houston Grand Opera’s goal is to develop a well rounded internship program to encourage individuals to learn the standards and experience the demands of Technical Theatre and Arts Administration.

Houston Grand Opera is committed to providing the necessary time and training through in-depth, “hands-on” experience to aid the development from promising student to practicing professional. Students are made a valuable member of the department in which they are assigned and given lifelong resources from which to grow.

Application Procedure
In order to properly place interns with their desired department, each candidate must submit:

1. A current resume with references.
2. A cover letter that describes what you hope to achieve from your internship, as well as, specifying any relevant work and/or volunteer experience that may have prepared you for work with Houston Grand Opera.
3. A completed application form.
