HGO Appearances: Leonora in Il trovatore (2013), Elisabeth de Valois in Don Carlos (2012), Miss Jessel in The Turn of the Screw (2010), Konstanze in The Abduction from the Seraglio (2008), Amelia in A Masked Ball (2007), Clorinda in Rossini’s Cinderella (2007), and the Countess in performances of The Marriage of Figaro, among others. Winner of HGO’s Eleanor McCollum Competition (2005). HGO Studio artist (2005–07).

About the Artist: Tamara Wilson was recently the grand prize winner of the 48th Annual Francisco Viñas Competition held at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Spain. Recent performances included the title role in Aida for Teatro Municipal in Santiago and Leonora in a new production of Il trovatore in Toulouse and Palma de Mallorca. In the 2012–13 season, she returns to Canadian Opera Company as Rosalinde in a new production of Die Fledermaus and to Théâtre du Capitole as Lady Billows in Albert Herring. She also makes a company and role debut at Opera de la ABAO in Bilbao as Hélène in The Sicilian Vespers. In future seasons, she performs roles of Verdi, Britten, Mozart, and Strauss at the Frankfurt Opera, Washington National Opera, Théâtre du Capitole, Teatro Real in Madrid, Gran Teatre del Liceu, and Los Angeles Opera. Past highlights include Miss Jessel at HGO and Los Angeles Opera as well as her German debut (Frankfurt Opera) under Sebastian Weigle in concert performances of Wagner’s Die Feen, which will be commercially released by Oehms Classics.
