Storybook Opera
  • A special treat for students Pre-Kindergarten through 2nd Grade!

An engaging and enjoyable introduction to opera for young children: one of our singing storytellers will visit your school or library for 30 minutes of captivating fun! English or bilingual programs are available weekdays or weekends by request. Choose one of these delightful tales to introduce your students to the world of storytelling through song.

Westward Ho, Carlotta by Candace Fleming

Pasha is a vain wolfhound who upstages the diva one night at the opera – and not just any opera – but the Metropolitan Opera in New York. True story!

Bantam of the Opera by Mary Jane Auch
Luigi is a country rooster who loves singing along with the opera he hears on the radio. When he sneaks a ride into the city hoping to see a live performance, the star of the show catches a bad case of chicken pox and threatens to cancel the performance! Could this be Luigi's big break?
