About the Artist: Condy has performed with opera companies throughout North America, including with Portland Opera in The Barber of Seville. He recently performed with Los Angeles Opera as Betto in Gianni Schicchi under the direction of Woody Allen, and made his European opera debut in the same role with the Spoleto Festival, Italy. Other engagements have included Maj. Gen. Stanley in The Pirates of Penzance with Arizona Opera, The Barber of Seville with Opera on the James, and the title role in Verdi’s Falstaff with Utah Opera. He has appeared with the Washington National Opera as both Baron Zeta in The Merry Widow and Dr. Dulcamara in L’elisir d’amore. He has appeared as Sir Robert Cecil in Britten’s Gloriana with Opera Theatre of St. Louis, Don Alfonso in Così fan tutte with Hawaii Opera Theater and Arizona Opera, as well as engagements with the San Francisco, Portland, Virginia, and Chautauqua opera companies. During the summer, Condy serves as director of the opera program at the Crescendo Summer Institute of the Arts in Sárospatak, Hungary with his wife Robin Leigh Massie. He is also the director of opera workshop at Philadelphia Biblical University and serves on the faculty of the Masterworks Festival.
