About the Artist: Patrick Harvey holds a master of music degree in collaborative piano from the University of Michigan. He spent three years in Knoxville, Tennessee, serving as faculty coach at the University of Tennessee and as a repetiteur for Knoxville Opera (2008–11). He also spent two seasons on the coaching staff of Opera in the Ozarks (2007–08), was a young artist with Opera North (2009) and a fellow with the Wolf Trap Opera Company (2010). He spent the summer of 2012 on the music staff of The Santa Fe Opera, working on Tosca and Rossini’s Maometto II. His principal teachers have included Helen Ramsaur, Kathryn Collier, and Martin Katz. During the 2012–13 season at HGO, he coaches The Italian Girl in Algiers, Show Boat, and Tristan and Isolde, and appears with the Studio in recital at Rienzi and in other Studio performances. He will return to The Santa Fe Opera in summer 2013 and will join the full-time music staff of HGO in fall 2013.
