About the Artist: Oren Gradus has performed with the Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, The Dallas Opera, Marseilles Opera, and Rome’s Teatro all’Opera. This season, he performed with the Lausanne Opera in Norma and returned to the roster of the Metropolitan Opera, where he was responsible for the roles of Colline in La bohème, Caliban in The Enchanted Island, Mephistopheles in Faust and Leporello in Don Giovanni. Last season, he sang Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with the Milwaukee Symphony conducted by Edo de Waart, returned to Dallas Opera as Henry VIII in Anna Bolena, was heard at the Metropolitan Opera as Jake Wallace in La fanciulla del West, and sang Sarastro in The Magic Flute with Israeli Opera and Cincinnati Opera. Last summer, he also made his debut at Dresden Opera as Mephistopheles in Gounod’s Faust, and later performed there in Carmen and La bohème. He is singing Cecil in HGO’s concurrent production of Mary Stuart.
