About the Artist: Natalya Romaniw, a native of Swansea, South Wales, has won several awards including the Guildhall Gold Medal and both the first prize and the song prize in the 2012 Kathleen Ferrier Competition. In 2009, she was a finalist in the song category of the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Competition. She has sung First Nymph in Rusalka for Glyndebourne, the title role in Lucia di Lammermoor for Clonter Opera and Giunia in Lucio Silla for the Classical Opera Company. She covered the Countess in The Marriage of Figaro for Glyndebourne Festival and sang Maliella in I gioielli della Madonna for Opera Holland Park. Future engagements include the Governess in The Turn of the Screw for Glyndebourne on Tour in 2014 and Ortlinde in Die Walküre at HGO next season.
