About the Artist: Malin Christensson studied at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Recent opera engagements include Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro at the Aix-en-Provence Festival and in Santiago; Barbarina in The Marriage of Figaro at the Salzburg Festival; Sophie in Werther in Baden-Baden; Flower Maiden in Parsifal at the Royal Opera, Covent Garden; Miss Wordsworth in Albert Herring at the Glyndebourne Festival; Drusilla in The Coronation of Poppea at the Drottningholm Palace Theater and Papagena in The Magic Flute in Montpellier, at the Théâtre du Châtelet, and at the Vienna Festival. This season she sings Susanna in staged performances of The Marriage of Figaro with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Gustavo Dudamel. In concert, she has appeared at the BBC Proms and at the Lucerne and Daytona Festivals. Recent engagements include the London Symphony Orchestra under Daniel Harding; the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment with René Jacobs, Bernard Labadie, and Gustav Leonhardt; the BBC Symphony Orchestra with Jiří Bělohlávek; and many others. Concert engagements this season include appearances with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Vladimir Jurowski, the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra with Trevor Pinnock, the Swedish Radio Orchestra with Herbert Blomstedt, the Hallé Orchestra with Sir Mark Elder, and the Philadelphia Orchestra under Yannick Nézét-Séguin.
