The Houston Grand Opera Board of Directors is fortunate to
count Dan Domeracki among its members. Dan serves as vice
global accounts and industry affairs, for Schlumberger, one
of HGO's generous corporate supporters. Schlumberger
underwrites the Schlumberger Weeknight Subscription Series for HGO.
Dr. Mark and Mary D'Andrea have been Houston Grand Opera donors and subscribers for eight years. During that time they have been attending HGO Special Events, including Opening Night, Concert of Arias, and the Opera Ball, and Mary has served as a member of the Special Events Committee. Mark and Mary recently became Patrons and Mary has joined the HGO Board of Trustees.
Supporting HGO since 2012, Capgemini is one of the world's foremost providers of consulting, technology, and outsourcing services with more than 125,000 employees in forty-four countries.
Houston Grand Opera is thrilled to count Robert Douglas “Doug” Lawler as
one of the newest members of HGO's board of directors. During HGO's
2012–13 season, he served as the corporate trustee representative of
Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, one of HGO's leading corporate partners.
Catherine Merchant was first appointed to the HGO Board of Trustees by
founder Elva Lobit in 1960, although her involvement with HGO began two
years earlier. It was then that she attended her first HGO board meeting
with her friend Lois Townsend, who was singing the role of the
Marschallin in the company's production of Der Rosenkavalier in the 1958–59 season. Catherine volunteered to work backstage for the
production, becoming the company's very first props manager.
Houston Grand Opera is delighted to partner with Sidley Austin LLP, a new corporate underwriter of HGO's mainstage season. Sidley is a generous underwriter of HGO's season-opening production of Verdi's Aida.
