About the Artist: Sayers’ recent and future work includes Don Giovanni (Glyndebourne)‚ Ibsen’s Emperor and Galilean (Royal National Theatre)‚ Sweeney Todd (Chichester Festival), The Flying Dutchman (English National Opera), Elektra (Salzburg), Parsifal (English National Opera), Ariadne auf Naxos (Welsh National Opera as revival director), A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Porgy and Bess (Chicago), Ariadne auf Naxos (Toronto), Salome (Baden Baden)‚ Sweeney Todd (Royal Festival Hall), and Peter Grimes (Canadian Opera Company as revival director). She has choreographed for Oedipus (Royal National Theatre) and Die Frau ohne Schatten (St Petersburg); Cyrano de Bergerac‚ Carmen‚ Paul Bunyan, and The Bartered Bride (Royal Opera House); Boris Godunov (English National Opera and Bastille); Rebecca (Vienna); Arshak II (San Francisco); Peter Grimes (Amsterdam); War and Peace (Bastille); Porgy and Bess (Washington, Chicago, and San Francisco); L’Amour des Trois Oranges and Carmen (Sydney); The Little Prince (Houston‚ Milwaukee‚ Boston, and BBC TV); and Of Mice and Men (Bregenz).
