Three Decembers was commissioned by Houston Grand Opera in association with San Francisco Opera and Cal Performances (Robert Cole, Director). It was developed with generous support from Meet the Composer, Betty Freeman, and the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation. Houston Grand Opera gratefully acknowledges lead funders for its stage production: The Carol Franc Buck Foundation, The Andrew W.
