Opera Camps 2009- Create an Opera

 Monday, June 8

After a short introduction and warm up, Create and Opera begins.

This morning we worked on writing the libretto and some music based on of our story "Grace for President". In the afternoon, the group talked with the HGO Props Design Director (Megan Freemantle) about how to design their set.

 Wednesday, June 10

Today we got straight to work!

This morning we continued writing the libretto and  music.  In the afternoon, we began work on our set with the help of HGO Props Design Director (Megan Freemantle).

We're a bit short on photos today - our photographer was busy!

We spent our afternoon learning the music we all wrote together for our performance on Friday!
 
 
 

 

Thursday, June 11

Today was a big day!  We put the finishing touches on Vote for Grace as we get ready to perform for our family and friends tomorrow at noon.

Friday, June 12

Well, this was it...

At noon we performed our final piece, Grace for President! It was a rousing success and we all had a blast. Thanks to all the friends and family who came to see us!
